12 Hopkins Street, Brevard. June 9, 2000. 11:12 pm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 6281 Sandy Lane, Hunters Beach. October 24, 2005. 12:16 am ![]() “Are you ready to find out what you were always meant to be?” “I have been ready since the day Daniel told me what I was. Please don’t make me have to be patient any longer.” ![]() The chill of his breath tickled her ear, “You will be my greatest joy, and my poor heart does so ache thinking about the pleasure you will be able to bring me.” Kieran kissed her forehead and brushed a small wayward strand of hair out of his way before sinking his fangs into the pale softness of her neck. He drank her in until he felt her heart nearly fade away. ![]() He bit into his own flesh, releasing a trickle of blood from his wrist. Before the wound could begin to close up, he let a drop hit her lips. Sophie clutched his arm to her mouth and suckled aggressively to relieve her immediate desire for more. ![]() When she released him nearly drained, through his euphoria Kieran breathed, “Do you feel my blood burning through you? You are of me; my strength will be yours once your body releases itself.” He pulled her into his arms and delivered her gently to the bed, “Now let yourself go to sleep my child, pay no mind to the pain, you have nothing but pleasure to find on the other side of it.” The Rose and Crown, Middle Bridge. July 3, 1898. 10:51 pm ![]() He stared down at the lifeless girl, and for a moment felt the pangs of pity clench his heart. Then the ripple of memories came one my one, weighing him down, forcing his legs to buckle and give way. And then Daniel was hit with an intensity of emotion that made his skull ache so hard he was certain his bones would crack from the pressure. ![]() Soothing words melted their way through, “Stop your panicking, it will settle in a few moments.” Cool fingers slid through his hair, the effect allowing the tension in his muscles to dissipate. The pain slowly made way for the clarity of a single focal point of his hatred. He snarled, “Where is Olivia?” “You think you can rid us of that blight in your current condition? While I admire your enthusiasm, you cannot even stand up at the moment. It will be quite some time before you have the strength to face her.” ![]() Daniel tried to pull himself up several times, before finally relenting, “How long before I can have the pleasure of holding the head of that witch in my hands?” Kieran was resolute, “I swear on my life that it shall be worth the wait.” 6281 Sandy Lane, Hunters Beach. October 27, 2005. 7:31 pm ![]() She woke up laughing. Completely overjoyed with what her senses were telling her about the world. Sophie was connected to everything around her and it was ecstasy. Her hand searched out for Max and his fingers entwined hers, “Everything is just so…vibrant, even my thoughts, my memories. Kieran said when I woke up, I wouldn’t remember anything, but I do. I remember everything.” ![]() He squeezed her hand, “I was expecting nothing less from you.” Her eyes sparkled, “Max, I want you to go find me someone painfully beautiful, I want to celebrate.” |
